Kyu Gunto

Kyu Gunto = Ancient Gunto or ancient model military sword.

Early Meiji period.

Guard and handle in high quality bronze that preserves traces of fire-gilding and has cherry blossoms (Sakura) and branches such as royal mallow leaves (Tokugawa) carved all in the traditional Japanese way.

Western-type Japanese blade with Bo-Hi and Gunome Hamon that wraps around the tip. It maintains the original nickel plating.

Chromed steel scabbard with end cap.

Measures:
Total length of the Kyu Gunto: 94.8 cm.
Blade length: 79.1 cm.
Scabbard length: 82.7 cm.
Blade width at the beginning: 2.2 cm. At the end: 1.6 cm.

Kyu Gunto

Kyu Gunto = Gunto antiguo o espada militar modelo antiguo.

Comienzos del periodo Meiji.

Guarda y empuñadura en bronce de mucha calidad que conserva restos de dorado al fuego y tiene flores de cerezo (Sakura) y ramas como calado de hojas de malva real (Tokugawa) labrado todo a la manera tradicional japonesa.

Hoja japonesa en forma occidental con Bo-Hi (canal) y Hamon tipo Gunome que llega a envolver la punta. Mantiene el niquelado original.

Vaina de acero cromado con contera.

Medidas:
Longitud total del Kyu Gunto: 94,8 cm.
Longitud de la hoja: 79,1 cm.
Longitud de la vaina: 82,7 cm.
Anchura de la hoja al comienzo: 2,2 cm. Al final: 1,6 cm.
